The sushi and vegetarian options were particularly good and the food was very popular. "I probably gave Sonya the most difficult of briefs - i.e. no brief. I had 16 people turning up for an afternoon who needed to be watered and fed. Ages ranged from 2 to 62 years. The venue was my small flat and the kitchen is no larger than a cooker and a fridge.
The group returned to my flat which had been transformed into a Christmas scene: music was playing: party treats for the children were handed out: the table was decorated with a Snowman cake centre-piece and the food smelt (and subsequently tasted) fantastic. Everyone in the group was gobsmacked.
What Sonya had managed to do was something overlooked by many: finishing touches made the day and will be remembered forever. Added to which the food and rink had been carefully planned to cater for every age group.
As a measure of the success of the day, the fact I as host was able to join in the fun rather than worry about anything says it all. Thankyou Sonya for making a potentially stressful day a most enjoyable one."
